The HEINE BETA 200S Ophthalmoscope 2,5V head is dustproof, maintenance free and it has unique aspherical optics for elimination of corneal and iris reflexes. Apertures include: Slit, fixation star with polar co-ordinates, cobalt blue filter, large spot, small spot, micro-spot and hemi-spot. All apertures can be combined with green (red-free) filter. Range of lenses: 74 lenses from -36 D to +38 D. The 74 single step lenses from ranging from -36 D to +38 D makes it easier to achieve perfect focus, even when examining patients with high refractive errors. The micro-spot is suitable for examining undilated or small pupils. The viewing window is recessed and multi-coated to avoid stray light. The optics are mounted on precision metal chassis to ensure durability and precise diagnostics. The HEINE BETA 200S Ophthalmoscope 2,5V head must only be used with a 2,5V handle, such as the BETA battery handle (X-001.99.118). The instrument can however be upgraded at any time by changing to a 3,5V bulb (X-002.88.070) and a rechargeable BETA handle or wall unit. Such an upgrade will double the brightness of the instrument.
