The viewing window is recessed and multi-coated to avoid stray light. The optics are mounted on precision metal chassis to ensure durability and precise diagnostics.
The HEINE BETA 200 Ophthalmoscope 2,5V head must only be used with a 2,5V handle, such as the BETA battery handle (X-001.99.118). The instrument can however be upgraded at any time by changing to a 3,5V bulb (X-002.88.070) and a rechargeable BETA handle or wall unit. Such an upgrade will double the brightness of the instrument.
