HEINE BETA 200 Retinoscope/Ophthalmoscope set delivered compete in a hard case with BETA 200 ophthalmoscope head, BETA 200 streak retinoscope head and one spare bulb for each instrument. The HEINE BETA 200 2,5V Streak retinoscope head has a HEINE ParaStop function for precise, easy selection of a parallel beam. The Retinoscope head is dustproof and has metal controls which make it maintenance-free and long-lasting. One single control for vergence and rotation makes it comfortable and easy to use. It has an integrated polarization filter which eliminates stray light and internal reflexes for a brighter fundus reflex. This retinoscope head can easily be converted from a streak retinoscope to spot retinoscope by changing the bulb to the X-001.88.088 bulb. The Ophthalmoscope head is dustproof, maintenance free and it has unique aspherical optics for elimination of corneal and iris reflexes. Apertures include: Slit, fixation star with polar co-ordinates, cobalt blue filter, large spot, small spot, and hemi-spot. All apertures can be combined with green (red-free) filter. Range of lenses: 27 lenses from -35 D to +40 D. The viewing window is recessed and multi-coated to avoid stray light. The optics are mounted on precision metal chassis to ensure durability and precise diagnostics. The 2,5V HEINE BETA 200 instrument heads must only be used with a 2,5V handle, such as the BETA battery handle (X-001.99.118) which is included in this set. The instrument heads can however be upgraded at any time by changing to a 3,5V bulbs and a rechargeable BETA handle or wall unit. Such an upgrade would double the brightness of the instruments. HEINE BETA handles are constructed for strength and durability; they are designed for everyday use. The unique HEINE automatic connector ensures a quick and safe connection to instruments. All HEINE BETA handles have a stepless rheostat for brightness control. HEINE rechargeable power sources and transformers conform to the IEC 60601-1 Standard.
